Muddy conditions for the Pros at the start changed to nice and tacky for the rest of us. Still, that sharp lefty at the top ruined many a run, including mine.

Ben Furbee leads the hard-charging Expert Men 18 & Under just 1.5 seconds behind the days fastest time posted by Nigel Page. Ben's time was good enough for the podium in the Pro class and 1st place in Semi Pro.

The Experts were amazing to watch as they attacked the upper rock garden.

A rare race where Beginners get to race on the same course as the Pros.

Perfect racing weather, in an absolutely beautiful remote setting. College youth and Downhill families having some fast fun.

Very fun.

Worth the roadie from the Central Coast. Each of these far away NORBA DH courses had its own flavor due to its terrain and course builders taste. I wish they all included a section devoted to drops, blind drops, doubles, and tables; A step-up, hip-jump, cork-screw berm, and a berm with jumps in it would be nice to include in all courses.

Steep, off camber, not just another treeless venue, the course was pitching pros like beginners. It's fun when bottom-feeder racers like myself get to run on the same course as the pros! I definently want to return however, I would like to see the course improved. They should talk to the guy that designed the Firestone course. Thanks alot for the bogus schedule, we missed our photo assignments, I missed practice on race day and almost missed my race!

I was wondering how a National would play out at my home racing club. I should have known that things were well in hand as SRC genius Donnie Jackson created another masterpiece out of the scary bedrock at Southridge.

My 3rd Race after recovering from a broken collar bone I endo-ed in practice and ripped baseball sized hole in the back of knee. Thanks to all the folks that helped Iona get me to the hospital and take down our booth.

My favorite table-top was back on course! (Bring back Westridge and the 20 foot table!)

A great start to the 2006 racing year with cool weather and great views of the San Bernardino Mountains.
